Wool Tasting

55,00 €

Wool tasting is a sensory and narrative experience that invites you to touch, smell, look at, and feel the wool fiber in all its diversity, recognizing its territorial origin, its texture, its history, and its symbolic power.

Inspired by gastronomic tastings, this practice proposes an immersion in the four great wool genealogies that structure the ovine biodiversity of Spain: Merino, Churro, Entrefino and Foráneo/Insular . Through cards that combine technical description, taste metaphors and poetic sensibility, participants discover how each type of wool reflects a landscape, a material culture and a way of relating to the environment.

Beyond its technical dimension, the tasting becomes a pedagogical and emotional tool that revalues textiles from the root, reclaiming rural knowledge, local practices, and a new sensitivity towards materials. Each wool sample is accompanied by words that activate imagination and critical thinking about the future of textiles and their connection to territories.

This experience, on the days indicated in the brochure, can be combined with a guided tour of all our facilities dedicated to the wool process: from our flock to the workshop of handcrafted looms, passing through the washing and spinning areas.

Place

These experiences will take place in Mota del Cuervo (Cuenca).

Duration

The experience will last between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes. If the experience includes a guided tour, it will be around 3 hours and 4 hours.

The start time for this Wool Tasting would be at 12pm.

Permitted capacity

These experiences aim for a multi-sensory approach to wool, which is why the capacity will be limited.

Maximum capacity: 15 people
Minimum capacity: 6 people

If the event does not reach its capacity, it may be canceled with 1 week's notice.

It is a dialogue between hands and fibers, it is knowing what is transmitted in each strand, it is the future woven with the memory of the origin. In each experience, the wool becomes a territory of exploration, the making awakens, and innovation becomes an act of care.
